Any of you ladies having or had a bell ringer? If so what kind of bell did you use and where did you get it? Thanks!

We're having a bell ringer instead of a ring bearer -- I have an extremely rambunctious 3 yr old godson who will ring the bell and yell "here comes the bride"...we've been practicing since September Smiley smile If it doesn't work, at least it will make a good story Smiley smile

I got an Irish Claddaugh bell (shipped from Ireland) for ~$25 w/shipping on www.emerald-isle-gifts.com and had a great experience...not sure if this is what you need.

Juliette: I love that bell! I almost want to order it, FH would absolutly love it!

I had never heard of a bell ringer before. Can you have that and a ring bear too? or do you usually have one or the other?

Who knows Smiley smile But I'm pretty sure my bell ringer would not ever go down the aisle quietly, so we decided to just work with it. I only have one kid in the wedding so I didn't have to think about one of each, but I don't see why not!!

I will let you know how it works out...the big question is how we're going to get the bell away from him lol

I'm having a bell ringer and a ring bearer. I'm not sure if I'm going to have him yell anything yet, but I think my friend and I are going to searching for a bell.

You can incorporate that bell into the ceremony, also.

Since you're using a bell in the wedding, look up the Irish make-up bell (if you haven't already). It's really sweet. BTW, love the Claddagh bell!

To me, the Irish make-up bells are beautifulgorgeous, but they all looked to be porcelain, and I wasn't giving a 3 year old porcelain lol. If you have an older kid, I agree with Aidan that those are great!

I also loved this one, but it was more than I wanted to spend:

I found that same bell Juliette at

    http://www.theirishgifthouse.com/contents/en-us/d769.html

for $66 instead of $99. You're right, $99 is expensive for a bell! I am ok with $66 though.
