We have been happily married for almost 6 months now and are finally taking our honeymoon at the end of the month! We had to delay taking one mostly due to budget and also other factors such as a new job and a move immediately following the wedding, so I'm really looking forward to this trip that we sort of pulled together in a matter of weeks on a wim.
My question is, with the bliss of the wedding far behind us, how can we make our trip feel more like a honeymoon and less like a vacation? Neither of us are super romantic people and the destination we are going to is not your "typical" honeymoon resort destination. We are dividing our time between Northern Thailand and Vietnam- very exotic but rustic and perhaps a bit out of our comfort zones since this trip to SE Asia is a first for both of us. Has too much time past for this to even be considered a honeymoon? I would love to find a way to make this trip special without overcomplicating it. Ideas?
