Beer & Wine - Sams Club or Costco?

I know there are tons of questions before on beer and wine in bulk and Sams Club and Costco are always suggested. I'm wondering mainly if anyone has used Sams Club before for wedding alcohol and if they have a wide variety of options? We have a Sams Club close to us, so FH really wants to get a membership to buy everything. But I've seen a lot more people suggest Costco on the forums, so I was wondering if anyone knew how much they differ in their brand options, if at all?

Also, do they both take unopened returns?

My FH and I are currently having this same discussion. I believe the return policy varies by state though. It would be best to call each one in your area and check their policy!

I use Costco. I like it because they have good name brands and the Kirkland brand is really good.

Hey Kelsie!
Have you checked out the Sam’sClub and Costco websites? You can check the stock that they carry in the store closest to you so that you will be able to make an informed decision about which is better for you.
You should contact your local store to inquire about their returns policy also as they can vary from state to state.

I hear great things about Kirkland brand (Costco) all the time from friends and the internet and drink Kirkland's version of Bailey's. It's great. I cannot attest to Sam's club brands personally or have read any reviews listing their hard liquors as top choices. Returns are based upon each state. Both do have a nice selection of wines.

Between these two, I’ve heard Costco used more for bulk beer and wine purchases. Another option, if it’s available in your area is Total Wine and More. They have a huge variety to chose from and really good deals too!
