Beer, wine, & Irish coffee?

033118, on October 26, 2017 at 12:48 PM Posted in Planning 0 13

So FH and I are doing beer and wine only for our bar. We are buying ALOT of it, and Home brewing 20 gallons (we are well experienced, have commercial equipment, and award winning). We are doing nonalcoholic drinks too.

At the end of the night we are doing coffee service, because I love coffee with my dessert. I thought about maybe adding hot cocoa, and picking up some baileys and rumchata to pair with the coffee and cocoa? It's it's weird to only do the hard A late night?

Reception ends at 10, and it's outdoors (with heaters).

No, I don't think so. I like this idea. I'm not a nighttime coffee drinker but my parents are. They'd love it.

I think it is weird when people have liquor drinks during cocktail hour only then switch to beer/wine. I think you're fine.

ETA just noticed you mentioned cocoa. I'd totally drink like 2 cups.

Nope! I am doing spiked hot drinks at the end of the night as well. I think guests will enjoy it. What kind of beer do you make???

I would LOVE that personally! An irish coffee isn't the same as taking a hard liquor drink to party it up, in my opinion. It's a chance to flavor the coffee with something special and relax! I vote go for it!

I love coffee with Baileys. It's a great addition to your wedding! ETA: If possible, I would include a Decaf option.

@Keisha our award winner is an Aloha Pale Ale, it's taste like pineapple but there is no fruit added, it's all from the hops. We've made a lot of different kinds, but our other favorites are a fuggly cherry lime ale (uses fuggly hops), an strawberry cream ale (we pasteurize the strawberries ourselves so it taste like a fresh strawberry), and a crystal double IPA. We build the recipes ourselves, it's seriously so fun!
