Beer and Wine!

We are doing a self serve beer and wine bar for our wedding. We live in wine country in CA, but we are not trying to spend a lot of money on over priced wines. I have very cheap taste Sutter home is my favorite. I was wondering if any of you know the best places to order bulk wine and or beer online?

I hear that total wine has a return policy where you could return unopened alcohol you buy in store

I would look at Costco, Trader Joe’s, Total Wine or BevMo. Also beware that in California you can’t return unopened alcohol.

I didn’t either until I looked on the total wine website one day! I know it’s info that’s shared a lot on this site and didn’t want a bride to buy a ton extra thinking she could return it.

As a person who does not drink wine or beer, I unfortunately don’t have any suggestions for you. But, I just wanted to say that this is such a cool idea! I have never heard of a self serve wine and beer bar at a wedding. How fun!

We used total wine. We ordered the quantity we wanted online and picked up in store.

My mom is a bartender and she recommended we do boxed wine and just put it in carafe's so it looks nicer. She says boxed wine is the cheapest and some of the best tasting wine she's had. We are getting ours from Sam's club. They have $13 for boxes of red or rose that serve 34 glasses and $16 for a box of white.

That's what brand we were thinking. We were going to put in the big 3 gallon drink dispensers with cute signs!
