Just Said Yes August 2020

Beer and liquor only.

Hi my fiancé and I just found out that our caterer can no longer provide our alcohol. So we are going to do it our alcohol. We have a very very small number of people that will drink wine. Honestly maybe 2 so we decide on not getting wine. We only want to do beer and liquor. (3-4 types of beer then rum/whiskey/vodka) I have not been able to find any graphs or charts on how much to purchase. They all include wine. If anyone has any suggestions or has done this before please help!! The wedding is less than a month away!

This drink calculator was pretty accurate and super helpful for us.

I would talk to a manager at your local liquor store. I worked as a cashier for a liquor store when I was 18, and our manager was always helping couples determine the number of bottles needed. And we bought back whatever they didn’t use. I would start there.

Talk to the caterer & ask how much you should be buying. Seems like they would know since they were originally going to provide it.

Go to a Total Wine or Bevmo type place in yor area and ask them how to figure it out.

Our guestlist is the same with maybe 1 person who drinks wine and the rest of the drinkers preferring liquor..though we will have beer on hand for who wants it. Saves on champagne costs too.

2-3 drinks per person per hours
I’d only get maybe 3 different beers at the most regular, low carb or light, and an import
And stick with a whiskey, vodka, gin and rum for your primary liquors.
