So as you can see in the picture of my dress below, the top of it has a lot of intricate beading. I did notice it feeling a little scratchy on my underarms during my two alteration appointments, but didn't think much of it because it wasn't annoying or anything.

However, I didn't take in account the entire wedding night. It's probably safe to say that I will get some red irritation on my underarms before the night is over. I'm kicking myself for not thinking about this possibility BEFORE taking my dress to the seamstress the second time. She currently has it and is doing the last minor adjustments here soon.

Is it worth calling the seamstress to see if I can remove some of the beading to help? I'm not sure if the dress will look odd with some beading missing though. Any other suggestions? I don't want to sound like I have dress regret. I absolutely adore it! I just wish I thought of this a sooner. Worse case scenario, I'll tough it out haha.

I had a dress on that I absolutely LOVED..but I didnt get it because of this very fact. The entire bodice was rhinestones and beads. I knew my arms would be raw and I refuse to suffer on my day. I still think about that dress and sigh lol But I found another dress..Sophia Tolli is very thoughtful about where she beads and the kinds of sparkles that she uses.

@Jessica, That's gorgeous and reassuring! I think I'll still do something about it though because I have sensitive skin so it may bother me. I'm for sure giving the seamstress a call this afternoon. I just had something come up yesterday.

@Sarah, I didn't think about it in the moment! No regrets though. I wouldn't have an issue with the other dress I almost chose, but didn't go with it because of the material of the bottom of the dress. I'm going to be outside for the ceremony and pictures (weather permitting) and it was a type of material where it would catch any and all branches, among other things. Lol. I'm so bad, I have no idea what the name of the material was called.

I asked this question when I went with my sister to her dress appointment at Kleinfelds. The woman we had, suggested using Talcum powder under your arms, she said she even did it and wasn't bothered by any beading all night.

Yes talk to your seamstress and see what she suggests! I know I wouldn't want raw and red underarms because of that beading.
