How did you word your invites for BBQ? For example we’re doing beef brisket and pulled pork. Do you have them mark down what they want between the two?

If you’re doing a plated meal and they need to make a choice then I would have them initial who wants what. If it’s a buffet then there’s no need for them to choose in advance.

If you are doing plated, then you will have to set it up on their RSVP card to chose one. If you are doing buffet, then there is no reason to put it on your invites.

As above, yes if plated. If it's a buffet, no. (Ours is buffet) they plan to make enough for a buffet as if everyone is going to eat both meats, just in case. We plan on placing "buffet style bbq to follow" or along those lines on invites so people atleast know an idea of what's going to be there.

It you’re doing a plated meal, yes you’ll need to know what entree they want. Not if you’re doing a buffet.

If you need them to pick one item (typically if your catering is plated and not buffet), I'd just put "Please initial by menu choice" and have a line then "Brisket" and "Pulled Pork", then a line for vegetarian or other food allergies.
