The local one is great.

I prefer the local trial. It looks more natural to me - just really tidy and seamless. The artist trial looks more like intentional makeup and doesn't seem to "disappear" as well into your natural beauty, but to be fair that could be a result of the use of a ring light (which is always going to look a little more "studio") as opposed to natural window light. In similar lighting the makeup might be marginally different.

I do think the local trial hair looks better because it looks like a little more of a side part and the half-up part of your hair seems to be set a little higher and has a little more volume and a more defined "swoop" which I think adds some flattering movement to the entire look. Also the curls appear a bit looser - similar size but the edges aren't as "crisp" and they look a little softer and more natural. I think both looks are nice but overall the local trial just has a little more finesse to it.

I prefer the blush and lip color in the first trial. I am not at all a fan of that ashy-plum lip color in the local trial. It makes an otherwise fresh look very dull in my opinion.

It's difficult to compare the eyes because of the ring light. They look the same to me, just different lighting.

The hair also is too different and subjective to form an opinion. I don't like half-up looks, so I would default to the first one, but if you are leaning toward a half-up, then that is clearly the look you should go for.

Both are beautiful. I think part of the hair is that it looks like the Local artist pulled slightly more away from the face resulting in a smoother, cleaner look. I like the overall facial makeup in both, but because the lighting is different, it's hard to tell a significant difference in the eyes.

I'd say bring or send the pictures of you from the local trial to give to your hired artist, MUA and Hair Stylists are trained to copy!

edit: i think the major points of difference are that local artist did a darker, matte lip as opposed to a shiny one and your hair is pulled back higher so you can see your ears/earrings a bit more. I would start with those two pieces of critique
