Batchellorette party disaster

Meghan, on February 24, 2020 at 10:15 AM Posted in Parties and Events 0 3
Hey guys, I've been feeling really down lately with little to no help or support from friends and family this past year of wedding planning. They all love my fiance and I and are happy for us but they just haven't been there like they should. (Thank god for my future Mother and sister-in-law. They've been so supportive and helpful.)

My wedding is 3 months and 5 of my 7 bridesmaids knew about my batchelorette party for the last 6 months and 100% onboard. We set a official date for the party 2 months ago for 6 weeks from now and I've kept them updated. But now that it's getting closer and time to book tickets to the show we planned to see they're all flaking out. One of my bridesmaids who said she was helping me plan my party booked tickets to Florida that same weekend.. I'm feeling really discouraged and stressed. The night out is still happening but most have now bailed giving me a "maybe" answer when tickets were supposed to be booked last friday. They've known and had 3.5 months to save a little bit and now nobody is following through with their promise to come. No other weekend works to reschedule and the night out has been set in stone for months. Idk I think I just needed to vent. Has anybody else had this happen to them? What would you do?

I’m sorry that is happening because it honestly sounds kind of annoying when they knew the plans well ahead of time Smiley sad
I had it happen. We didn’t go to a destination it was just a day of activities but it had to be rescheduled because people were bailing for other stuff they personally wanted to do and it’s frustrating because you think how can people be so selfish but I guess that’s when you learn people aren’t gonna be as excited for your wedding stuff as you are

I’m really sorry to hear about this, Meghan. This is very disheartening. Sending you a big e-hug Smiley heart

Are you now organizing this on your own? Perhaps reach out to everyone, explain the situation with the tickets and ask for a definite yes or no if they can attend. You can then move forward with the plans with those who can go.

This is happening to us also! My MOH made amazing plans and they were super affordable and out of 10 invited it seems it's only going to be 4 maybe 5/6 at the most. We are making alternative plans and making the most of the situation, it will be a lot of fun regardless of original plans. I hope y'all were able to figure something out!
