Hi I'm trying to figure out what an average cost is for bartending services. so far what I have seen from some of my local catering services is at $90 an hour per bartender with a minimum of two bartenders plus $4 a person to serve mixers and fruits with the drinks for 115 people it's about 1360 + an 18% gratuity and I have to buy all of the liquor is this normal??

That seems high....our caterer is providing a bartender @ $21/hour, same as all of her other staff. We provide all of the liquor/mixers. We are in California.

That doesn't seem too far off. Mine is $20 pp for 5 hours, including all alcohol, mixers, glassware, etc. Plus gratuity. Doing out the math, for 80 people will come in around $2K. You will probably come in around $2500 - $3000, depending on what kind of booze you buy, but you are having almost 50% more people than me.

That is really high! I hired bartender services and it was $250 total for 2 bartenders for 5hrs, and they will supply all cups and ice as well. I will also be supplying all alcohol and mixers.

That seems a high! I'm having my wedding reception at a fire house and I only had to pay
$150.00 for 2 bartenders and I'm having a 5hr reception. I would say keep looking

That sounds pretty high and I am pretty sure I am getting ripped off lol. We are doing beer and wine and one signature drink. We have to supply all of the alcohol and purchase liquor and liability insurance and we are paying $900 for three bartenders for 5.5 hours.

We are in Hawaii though so things do cost more. If I were you I would keep looking.

Mine is $13pp ($2pp for underage) plus gratuity for a hosted beer and wine bar with a cash bar option (if people want liquor). We don’t have to supply the alcohol though, the venue does.
