Bartending Quotes

mnmaria, on February 6, 2017 at 3:41 PM Posted in Planning 0 9

Our venue only works with a few preferred vendors. We are currently looking at quotes for the alcohol service. I am interesting in seeing what the typical price range for the area is for beer and wine service.

Thanks for your help!

Following because I'm looking into this right now for our venue as well. Our venue will work with any vendor but we have to have a bartender with liability insurance. So far I've been quoted $450 which includes things like buckets, wine buckets, napkins, etc. but I think it might be worth it to provide those things myself so I'm going to get some quotes from some other places before I decide. I'll update this thread with the other proposals I get. If it matters to you, I'm in Massachusetts.

In my area, southern Indiana, it's $350 just for the bartending service. Then add the cost of the liquor (a little cheaper if you supply it).

Not sure what is "normal" in my area (east TN) because we have to use the bartender provided by our venue, but it's $2 pp just for the bartender, then drinks on top of that.

I've received a few beer and wine only quotes for 150 people at $6000 and up. This is more than we were expecting. I am wondering how typical the prices are.

In Los Angeles I have been getting quotes for $25 + depending on number of guests, tips etc.

I have seen as high as $40 an hour as well. Just depends on company and location for them. Do they need a bar setup, or a regular table, and other factors for them. From what I know, the companies provide ice and help you plan for the drink menu.

Also, you should probably change this thread to include vendors..

We have some fantastic vendors in these forums who could give you a lot of insight, as they have worked in the business.

Just got another quote for $300. I should add that both my quotes are for the bartender only, not the actual alcohol, which we have to provide ourselves.
