Barefoot or Yellowtail?

Lysandra, on June 26, 2017 at 11:18 AM Posted in Planning 1 58

I don't have very many wine drinkers on my guest list. And the only wine drinkers are perfectly fine with drinking the cheaper brands. I'm actually pretty positive most of them just prefer beer but I'm making sure to get plenty of wine just in case. Like I said, my guests don't drink a lot of wine but if I ever do see them drinking any wine its either barefoot or Yellowtail. Which brand do you recommend I get?

Barefoot is my fav! From working in restaurants, Barefoot is a pretty standard wine and most people would be really happy with it. Yellow tail is also good but its slightly more expensive, so I would go with Barefoot if you have to supply it yourself!

Neither! Both of them taste horrible to me. If there is a Trader Joe by your house/venue, try the 3 buck chuck. I've never had it, but I've heard great things about it.

Not a fan of either, both taste pretty cheap to me. But if I had to pick, barefoot

I was going to come on here to suggest Trader Joes but it looks like PP beat me to it. It is only $3 a bottle and all way better than yellow tail or barefoot...except the sauv blanc their sav blanc is all sorts of nasty.

I know so little about wine I assumed this was about whether you should go shoeless to your wedding or serve sushi, and i had no idea why that was a choice that needed to be made.

I guess I'm a wine snob but I don't like either. They're very "beginner" to me. If I had to choose I guess Barefoot.

I love Barefoot Moscato but I do love the Yellowtail Shiraz Smiley smile I'd be totally happy and pleased as a guest with either brand.

Barefoot is better in my opinion. If you drink wine, try a bottle of each (same type) and see what you like better.

I used to love barefoot but it always gives me a headache. Recently I tried yellow tail Moscato and bam, no headache. I prefer yellow tail now, but I'm sure your guests won't care too much.

Yellowtail always makes me sick. Like Olivia said, if it's only a handful of people that are wine drinkers maybe spend a few dollars more on nicer wine. If that's not an option though then I'd go with Barefoot.

I was honestly hoping Barefoot would win just because that's what I prefer lol. But I wanted to make sure I'm getting the one that more people prefer. Thanks everybody!

Personally, I never did notice the difference between fancy wine and two-buck chuck. For me, the most important thing was which TYPE of wine I drank - I always preferred white wine, particularly riesling or moscato. White zinfandel was also good in my book. But please note, this is coming from someone who always preferred beer. So hey, maybe that works, yea?

Barefoot. Not only is it my personal choice, I have yet to meet a person who didn't approve it.
