Barefoot flower girls?

Naomi, on November 17, 2013 at 3:25 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 7

We're having a summer wedding and we're thinking rather than spending a lot of money on shoes for my nieces that will go out of in months, we could have them go barefoot for the ceremony and the pics and have them wear regular shoes for the rest of the day. Anyone else tried this?

I thought about doing this but my mom reminded me that if it's a outdoors wedding that they may step on something.

How about some cute little open sandals?

We let our flower girl wear whatever shoes she wanted. It was super cute because she has these glitter red mary janes that are her fave shoes and it was totally her.

Honestly shoes aren't a big deal, it's still a little girl.

I think it's adorable if they are walking in an area you know they won't stub a toe or trip on a stick. Are they walking on a runner? I think that would be best. Otherwise, get some gems and ribbon from Michaels and jazz up some cheap flipflops. They would probably love to wear those sparkly flipflops the rest of the season.

I agree, if you can ensure they won't step on anything that could hurt them, then it's adorable!

Unless it's a beach, no. They could even wear cute flip flops.
