Whatever your budget allows for. Having a domestic like budweiser and an international like heineken would be good. Some people also include local craft beers at their wedding.

For liquor, I would say vodka, tequila, rum, whiskey, gin are the big ones. Up to you which ones to include!

Most people do rum with coke. Any brand will do. You could also ask the liquor store what is the best rate or what is on sale. Tequila also has a lot of brands you can look at

We did Sam Adam Octoberfest (we got married in October, so it worked) and Coors Light for beer. That offers a heavier option and a lighter option. We did not offer liquor, but I would suggest at least one dark and one light, so maybe vodka and whiskey.
We offered 3 wines also. 2 reds and a white.

We had no beer. We had 2 signature drinks, margaritas and wine. The wine didn't get touched, not a single bottle was opened. We're cocktail folks!

I went to a reception last month where they had some novelty beers and I'd recommend NOT doing that because 1) the amount of people drinking it was very low and 2) it wasn't something they drank a lot. For instance I took a sample but I didn't want a whole serving

We are doing one domestic and one premium. Our place we are getting has Kegs only so I think it'll be better in the end..
