Bangs?

Kayla, on January 17, 2020 at 4:22 AM Posted in Hair and Makeup 0 7
Hey ladies! So after not having cut my hair at all in almost two years, a few months ago I my hair cut with full bangs and I LOVE them (usually, we all have bad hair days) and I've had side bangs in the past but what I'm wondering is if I should keep up the maintenance and have full bangs for my wedding in October or let them grow back out? Side bangs are also an option. I'm also not 100% sure how I am going to do my hair for the wedding.Bangs? 1

I LOVE your full bangs! Personally, regardless of how you're planning to wear your hair, you hair person can make it work with your bangs. My bangs aren't nearly as cute as yours, but I have full bangs and daughter's HMUA did a full updo for me, with my bangs, and I got tons of positive feedback. Rock those bangs! Smiley winking

If you might want side bangs, I would go ahead and grow them out. You can always cut em off to go back for full bangs right before the wedding if that’s what you want closer to the date.

I love the bangs! But if I were you I would start to grow them out now if you aren’t sure one way or another. 10 months is definitely enough time to grow them out (when I had bangs it took about 6+ months for them to blend into the rest of my hair... but I also have layers). And then if you decide you actually do want them for the wedding you can always just cut them again, but this way if you start growing them out now you have the option

I agree with Gen. Keep them now and in a month or so as they start growing, either let them grow so that if you change your mind last minute you will already have longer hair in the front. Start thinking now about ideas for what you want your hair to look like. Google "bangs wedding hair ideas" or something like that to see what other brides with bangs have looked like. :-)

Your bangs are super cute! I love the full bangs look, especially with your glasses.

I'd consider whether or not you want to wear glasses on your wedding day as well as possible hairstyles and makeup when deciding if you want to keep your bangs or not. Both the bangs and glasses help frame your face really well, especially since you have lighter eyebrows and fair skin. As another person mentioned you can always grow them out to side bang (or longer) length and trim them back if you want.

Side note: I have this subtle cowlick right on my hairline and whenever I've gotten bangs they never want to lie flat and require so much maintenance. You're so lucky!

I actually have a small Cowlick right in the front also! If I'm wearing my hair down I HAVE to flat iron them or they split down the middle and do some weird stuff like stick straight up 😅 its do-able depends on how severe the cowlick is. my little sister has the same problem you do, but you're right it is a lot of maintenance, I have them Trimed every Six weeks or so
