Bandeau Bra

Jessica, on August 15, 2019 at 6:24 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 14

Does anyone have experience with Bandeau bras? Do they leave marks? I am planning on wearing a button up top/pj's while getting ready and I am uncomfortable going bra-less. My dress is backless & off the shoulders so I can't wear anything that will leave a mark and I don't want anything that'll pull over my head.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

I think almost anything you wear will leave marks unless it’s super loose. I ended up not wearing a bra that day even though I’m super uncomfortable doing that. I didn’t want any lines.

Honestly, any bra can leave a mark, even if it fits properly. If you're sitting in a chair, it will push the seams into your skin and leave a mark. If you're not comfortable going bra-less, I would consider an adhesive bra.

What about a tank with a bra built in?

I wear lace bandeaus for modesty with low cut dresses but with how they’re comfortable they are they can still leave marks if you wear them too long. Would you be comfortable just wearing covers/pasties so nothing shows?

If you really don’t want lines, I would use the sticky nipple pads. Mainly because all bras will leave marks.

I was gonna say, unless you're really dehydrated or sensitive, those marks should go away in under 30 minutes...most people don't drink enough water though. Should be 64oz a day...more than one might think

I agree with this. You could even slip out of the straps and slide it down your body instead of up and over your head

I just wore the Victoria’s Secret lined Demi bra all day sitting down and moving about and t left no lines or anything. It has super thin straps. Idk if they make them anymore though.

I wore a stick-on silicone"bra" from Amazon under a bridesmaids dress and it worked perfectly! It keeps you from "showing through" if that's what you're worried about and it won't leave any lines. I got mine for under $20 and have wore it a ton under any backless dress or top.

I just wore one of those cami-tanks with the built in (shelf) bra. Not nearly enough support for the girls but enough to keep me comfortable. I just paired it with another layer of tank top for extra “security” ...all under a button up. Both tanks were loose enough that I could pull them down over my hips to take them off

Thanks everyone for the suggestions and insight. I was thinking and thinking about it and had an epiphany! I will be wearing one of my dresses that has padding (so no bra required) and that I am able to pull down over my hips!
