Band or music for ceremony

Kaitlyn, on June 17, 2019 at 12:42 PM Posted in Wedding Ceremony 0 3

Hello,

How much are your musicians for the ceremony costing you?

I have my brother-in-law playing music so I just wanted to have a number in mind incase he says nothing I still would like to give him something for his time.

Thanks in advance for your help!

Our church is charging us $500 to have someone to play the piano. We will probably tip them $100 after the ceremony.

We have a husband and wife couple that are singing and playing the piano, guitar, and cello. We're paying them $675 for travel, ceremony, and cocktail hour, but they usually charge $325 for ceremony only (which is super cheap for 2 people that sing & play instruments). Most people I reached out to were around $250-$300 for one player.

I would look up costs in your area because this will vary wildly by state/city. In Northern CA, soloists were averaging $200 for 60 minutes.
