We tied the knot this past Saturday (9/14/19)! I have been feeling so thankful that we are finally married!! Everything was great overall, with a few standout moments.
Our ceremony was amazing, and I will never forget how it felt to walk down the aisle as legal partners finally. The weather was PERFECT for our outdoor ceremony. We made good use of the patio attached to the reception space as well. The florist shipped flowers from Hawaii because I had briefly mentioned they are my favorite, so it was a nice surprise to see them! My wife also surprised me with a large frame for photos that she personalized and decorated.
Our photographer was the BEST: we found out she can break-dance, and we got a album of Polaroids at the end of the night that she had taken throughout the day. It was totally unexpected and a great gift. A few un-edited pictures are below.
There were also a few snags, but nothing we couldn't handle. For instance, I got a pretty bad migraine (they are chronic for me), but thankfully, I had meds and a bridal room to crash in for 30 minutes. I got back out and enjoyed every last second! Perhaps the only actual issue was that the bartender was rude to a few guests. She also would disappear for about 15 minutes without asking anyone to cover for her. She did not like being called out for her behavior! No idea what prompted this attitude, or whether she just doesn't like her job.
Overall, I am super pleased with how the day went! It feels so great to be married and to have the wedding done. My advice for future brides: make sure you and your spouse are able to spend some time together the day-of, it makes you appreciate the little things even more. On to the next chapter in life: moving!
