Hello all,
I had my wedding on 6-15-2019 and boy did that day FLY by. I don't yet have my wedding video and photos from my team but I've a lot of photos my friends took.
Some hiccups:
1] venue did not let me have the layout that we had agreed upon - for some reason, they were refusing to let me have tables such as for my candy bar where i wanted them to be. my day of coordinator made it work anyway and at the end of the day it didn't matter that the candy was on this wall instead of the other wall.

2] totally forgot to take certain photos - i had no time at all to take photos with all of my family and i forgot some poses i wanted to do with my husband and wedding party but for the most part my photographer told me she got some good photos.
3] forgot to dim the lights during dance floor session! i gave everyone glow sticks at the reception because we were supposed to dim lights but we totally forgot. however it didn't dampen the mood or anything, it was still popping!
4] my cake sucked or well, i was told by those who had a piece that it was either ok or it sucked. i went with the cheapest bakery i could find that also happened to be the only one that can do a square cake in my area. and the look of it was SPOT ON to what i wanted. it looked great, my friends absolutely loved the look of the cake and took a ton of pics of it... however the taste wasn't what we had when we tried it the first time. OH WELL. at the end of the day you get such a small piece of cake, whatever! i had a great ten course meal that included dessert and there was a snack hour before it so it really didn't matter that this one thing wasn't as up to par as the others.

5] so many people stomped on my long dress but that's ok, it's being dry cleaned now. and the dress felt a tad bit loose - could be i lost weight. but it still fit fine, no need to pin it. i accidentally spilled tea all over myself too but somehow it didn't stain or anything!
6] did not end up using my aisle runner because it felt too breezy and we couldn't properly stake it down - didn't really matter anyway, it was a free aisle runner someone gave us and at the end of the day we know where the aisle is ahah. i did not end up putting lanterns up on the tree we were getting married under either due to time constraints. basically i just ended up simplifying things.
7] schedule was off by half an hour because so many people arrived late to the reception since they wanted to mingle at our snack break after our ceremony at the church. but that's ok everything worked out and i'm happy to hear our snack break which was totally DIY by us, was a hit! not pictured in this photo of the snack break are more foods that arrived after this photo by my friend was taken.

all in all, the day went by fast and i felt like i was on such a time crunch at times and my back hurt by the end of the night and i am so glad all the planning is over but ... i gotta say, nothing beats getting married to the love of your life in front of everyone special and dearest to you.
i'll post another with pro photos next time when i get them!
FYI - my dress had pockets which was cool because i had my phone and wallet on me the whole night.
i just want to reiterate what other BAM posts have said -- at the end of the day, those things you thought would matter and what you plan and stress over during the planning stage, end up not really mattering anyway. so chair covers and centerpieces and decor or whatever other little details you spend so much time thinking about will all fade out because the big picture is that you get married to your soulmate. so it's ok if it didn't go "perfectly" because it will still be such a memorable day for you.
