We had always said we should get married 2/22/2020 but I didn't know if we'd actually be able to do it. WE DID! We were engaged October 5, 2019 and I immediately began planning.
My husband and I eloped, just us, in Palm Springs, California at the wind turbines just after sunrise on 2/22/2020. It was the most perfect day! Everything worked out amazingly. It was even supposed to rain during our ceremony but it didn't.
Venue: $0
We got an Airbnb for the weekend (where we stayed, got ready & did our first look): $1270.94
I decided to make the cake; even though I've never done something to this extent ever before. He wanted cheesecake and yellow cake. I baked it Thursday night. We assembled and decorated it together on Friday night at the Airbnb. We started finishing it just a couple of hours before bed (I only got 1.5 hours of sleep). We used some rose gold edible flakes and extra faux flowers. It was good! But it probably would've looked better if we found more time.

I do my own nails so I had all the supplies already.
I hired a makeup artist, who arrived at 4:30am and was great! I never had my makeup done previously and we never had a trial due to her being located farther away from where I live but it was amazing! It lasted a really long time and through all my crying.
Makeup: $350
I did my own hair in 15-20 minutes. I straightened it the night before and pinned curled it overnight. I had kinky curly clip-ins already; I straightened and used perm rods on those for a few days prior. My curls in front got tossed in the wind but my bun did not budge.
MY HUSBAND'S DETAILS
He originally got a custom suit but with Coronavirus and a short timeframe (suit got delayed beyond the wedding date) he had to order something different with only 10 days until the wedding. Luckily it worked out, he was disappointed though because the custom suit was more upgraded. But he looked sooooo fine!
Suit from BlackTux (he got it tailored locally): ~$450
Accessories (turtle neck, socks, shoes, watch, belt): ~$250
Wedding bands (on sale & with a coupon because he got my engagement ring made there): $1072.48
OTHER VENDORS
The first look was at sunrise around 6:30am. Our ceremony site was about 30 minutes away from the Airbnb; ceremony started at 7:30am. It was short and sweet - we said our own vows and our officiant let us modify her sample ceremonies to make it feel more like us. After everything it was maybe 8:45am. We went for breakfast in our wedding attire and we ended up getting our meal free.
Officiant: $200
Photographer/videographer arrived at 5:30am, just as I wrapped up with makeup. We got photos at the Airbnb and at our ceremony site. We got the photos back 3/6/2020 and a teaser video guaranteed within 24 hours - more like within 8 hours! They're still working on the full video though.
Photopgrapher/videographer: $2200
In the meantime, check out our teaser video on IG (I'm obsessed!): https://www.instagram.com/tv/B85Jxv9nTJi/?igshid=dy20rpr51o8o
TOTAL: $7642.52
Ok, so it wasn't as cheap as I had originally thought. But I like nice things. 😆😆
Next...our reception/anniversary party next year!
