Ball Gown Slip

Rebekah, on November 19, 2019 at 6:41 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 6
Has anybody in here bought this ball gown slip from David’s Bridal and used it under their dress? My dress definitely needs some more poof but I’m nervous that this slip is going to be too much. If you have used it, can you please post a pic of your dress with the slip for reference? I included a pic of the slip and a pic of my dress for reference. Thank you!

That is a lot of poof as is. I didn't buy the huge ballgown slip, but I do have the normal ballgown slip to go under my dress. It's already fairly voluminous with that slip. I would suggest trying them on with your dress so you can see which one fits better.

Oh your dress is gorgeous and so are you!! That is the right amount of poof I am looking for. The pictures online always make the slips look extremely full and then once you see them in person, that’s not the case. Good call on trying them on with the dress!!

Thank you!!!!! I looooove my dress. I never thought I would end up with a ballgown, much less one with that much skirt, but I tried that one on and I knew. Seriously, the regular ballgown slip had been exiled to a corner of our bedroom, but we still trip over it!!! It's so much- I couldn't imagine an extra ballgown hoop. Definitely see them in purpose before you buy!

At the bridal salon (not David's), daughter tried her dress on with a huge slip. She liked it, but was concerned about whether anyone, including H, would be able to stand close to her. LOL! Once her dress came in, the attached crinoline was SO much more "poofy" than the sample she tried on, she decided to skip the slip completely. Her dress had tons of "poof" all on it's own. If you haven't yet received your "new" dress, I'd wait to decide until you try it on.

I bought one off of Amazon but it has hoops and is adjustable. I hated it before I adjusted it but now I can't imagine not wearing it on my wedding day because it makes it so much easier to walk! No worries about stepping on the dress Smiley smile

I bought the normal DB ballgown slip with my dress! If you're worried about the extreme, I think the regular size is not too over the top. I can still move comfortably and interact with people in the regular slip. I would definitely try on both and see which one you prefer Smiley smile
