Ball gown slip online? On the cheap

Nicole, on June 23, 2017 at 12:50 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 9

Hey everyone! So I just picked up my dress yesterday, and it's the most perfect ball gown. Since, of course, it's my one and only wedding I want to look like a princess/cake topper- so a ball gown slip is a must. I'm trying to save money anywhere I can and I found some online for about half what the bridal store's costs. My question is have any of you bought one online? Did it work? Was it worth it?

I've purchased slips online at Amazon and have had pretty great luck with them. I haven't bought one for my wedding dress, though, so I can't be a good judge of that. However, I can say that I've used the slips and petticoats I've bought from Amazon multiple times with great satisfaction. Dunno if this helps.

Have you checked for a resale shop or page on Facebook in your local area? Brides may keep their dresses after the wedding but not many people have need for a giant slip afterwards. Lol.

A friend of mine got married last summer and bought the slip for her dress (ball gown style) from Amazon with no problems. It was cheaper than bridal salon.

Vivian & Robynne amazon is actually where I'm looking specifically but I see mixed reviews but this is good news. FutureMrsburroughs I'll check that out!

I bought a slip/petticoat from Davids, it's fine but the sizing was absolutely insane. I'm a street 6, was between a bridal 8 and 10, and based on my measurements, ordered a 14 or 16 in the slip, which was the biggest size it came in.

I only bought it because none of the ones I found on Amazon had the "right" amount of poof I was looking for. If there's one you like on Amazon, don't bother looking at Davids.

I have Amazon Prime and I ordered two different ball gown slips that had free returns. One didn't work (it was just TOO MUCH poof!) so I just sent it back, and the other worked out great. I want to say one was about $23 and one was about $17.
