Ball Gown Dress

Arlene, on March 28, 2020 at 1:41 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 2
My dress is a tulle and lace ball gown and I’m wearing a slip to make it puffier. I love the way it looks with the slip but now I’m afraid that it’ll be hard to dance or walk around with it at the reception. I was thinking of taking the slip off for the reception but then the dress will be too long to walk around in. Does anyone know if it’s that difficult to walk around in a puffy ball gown dress?

I’ve seen brides with bigger gowns change into a more slim or sheath dress for the reception.

Hey Arlene, do you have the slip at home? Can you try walking around the house it in for a while to see if it gets in your way? You might find that with a little practice (especially the technique of kicking the skirt out in front of you when you walk) you can manage the dress just fine, or you'll know whether you need a backup plan. How big are the skirt and slip together?
