Ball Gown added Volume

I hated petticoats. When I tried on ball gowns I used a hoop skirt

There is definitely a big difference from picture one and two. You could get a petticoat or hoopskirt or you can see if your seamstress can add extra crinoline underneath so you don't have two parts to your dress.

I like Try on #1, so I would try to add the volume if you can.

Part of it is because it is too long. See the difference when they pin the hem.

Yes that is true. I was standing on a pedestal with both try ons. They were different samples though.

Yes, I bought a petticoat because I had the same problem! I'm glad I did, it looks much better, but I still wish it was poofier...

Give me all of the volume!

My youngest daughter is going through the same thing with her ball gown. I ordered 3 different petticoats and a hoop skirt for her to try and we both agree it needs the extra volume. I was able to return the 2 slips that we didn't choose. I purchased from Amazon. Good luck!

Yes omI bought a petticoat from JJ house. You can find it even cheaper on Amazon and or Wish.

I have an A line dress and still got a hoop skirt.

I have big hips and my ball gown looks full and people think it's fluff and I suppose it is...just happens to be ME fluffing. Bahaha.
I'd say probably hemmed it will look different but if you want it fuller still, go for it.

And mostly I wanted to say OMFG THAT DRESS IS SO FRICKIN GORGEOUS!!!!! Looove it and you look great

I didn't have to with mine, it's really full without one

I wouldn't want to wear a second layer under my dress. Personally I will see if they can add the extra fluff during alterations

You look like a princess! Definitely try to add some volume, it looks like it may have deflated because you lost some weight or something!

Picture #1 is without anything underneath and picture #2 is with a hoop skirt. Im in loveeeeee. 😍❤
