Bakery!!

Jasmine, on December 2, 2019 at 2:50 PM Posted in Planning 0 8

FH and I had the most amazing encounter with our bakery at our venue open house and at our taste testing. Not only did everything taste good, they were so nice, patient and understanding. What we love about them is their passion and excitement in what they do. They're considerate and their variety of cakes and desserts is what really captured us.

We will have a white cake with american buttercream frosting with a strawberry mousse filling. We will also have a dessert table with lemon bars, french macarons, chocolate chip cookies and two types of brownies (powdered sugar and chocolate ganache). Many thanks to Beverly's Bakery in Yorba Linda, CA for everything!

What was the most important to you in choosing your bakery? What kind of cake will you all have or have had? Will you or did you have a dessert table?

It was so important to us to have a cake that tasted good and so we went with a dessert bar so that if we had some guests that didn't want cake they could have a something they would enjoy like pie, cupcakes, cheesecake, etc.

That was the same thought we had. I know for the most part, not everyone likes cake or might have an allergy to certain fillings so we're giving the option for a dessert table as well. What kind of cake are you getting?

I wanted to hire a baker that didn't cost an arm and a leg! We're having a 3-tier red velvet with semi-naked buttercream frosting

Sounds delicious. I love red velvet but my FH is a Plain Jane. Ours will just be a 2-tier. I'm super excited for our design though.

Those flavors sound delicious. I was looking specifically for a square three tiered cake so surprisingly there weren't many options for me in my city

    Thanks! I'm excited

Oh man. I never knew that the options would be limited anywhere. So what are you looking into now?

My #1 request was red velvet! I went to a bridal expo and tried this bakers red velvet samples and immediately hired him. His samples blew my mind and when it came to the cake tasting a few months later with my parents the red velvet was just as good! We also ordered 5 different flavored "cake shooters"(100 in total) as I call them for guest to enjoy. He's doing a two tier red, and gold cake matching my beauty and the beast theme. I will have a sugar rose on the top with a glass dome over the rose. 11 days to go!

OMG! That sounds amazing. Ours will also be a two tier cake. It'll be white with white scrolling on the bottom layer and we'll have pre-made flowers that they will airbrush navy and red wine/burgundy to match our wedding colors. I'm so excited for you though! I love the fact that it will also have the sugar rose and glass dome. The most perfect tie in with your theme! Congrats Smiley catface
