Badgley Mischka Bridal Shoes

Thinn, on June 26, 2021 at 3:16 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 1 19
Hey fellow brides, I’m looking at bridal shoes online and thinking about getting this one. However, I’m seeing mixed reviews on the website and wanted your thoughts. I know that no heels will ever be as comfortable as flats. I am used to wearing heels until recently (COVID and WFH changed my wardrobe selection) so I know it will get uncomfortable after a few hours. Just wanted your opinion on whether you’ve purchased Badgley Mischka shoes before and if so, what’s your take on their comfort level.

Shoe comfort is something super personal. For instance, my mom and I have the same size feet, but there are certain shoes that she finds comfortable that hurt my feet and vice versa. Many department stores, like Macy's, carry the Badgley Mischka bridal line, so I would maybe try to go there and try them on for yourself. Otherwise, maybe order them from a store with a good return policy so you can try them on at home.

I have a few different pairs. They are super comfortable and I bought a pair to wear on my wedding day. I would highly recommend them.

I like heels but wore a shorter block heel for my wedding and was really glad I didn't choose to spend 6+ hours in four inch heels. Also consider the material of your dress - if you have a dress that is lace or delicate silk/satin, sometimes those materials can catch on the jewels on shoes like these!

I don't own any Badgley Mischka heels but tried on Badgley Mischka Jewel wedges for my wedding and found the toe strap to be a little low set (so my pinky toe could almost slide out). I would either try these before you buy or purchase online from a store with a good return policy. I got mine from Nordstroms and was able to do free returns when I decided they weren't for me.

I own several pairs, and frankly they are not the most comfortable! I wear heels frequently, and there is no way I would be able to wear any of my Mischkas for my whole wedding. I could probably do the ceremony and photos afterwards, but that’s it. I only wear mine to events where I know I will be sitting most the evening.

I found these on their website so maybe it might be a good idea to try a similar one at Macy’s or purchase them from Nordstroms. Thanks for the advice

Thanks for that. I was planning on wearing heels until dancing starts and then change into something comfortable.

I agree with the others that seeing if you can find a store to try them on seems like the best option.
For me, straps like that tend to hurt after a few hours so even though the heel is a block one which would provide support, I would probably give these a pass, but it’s such a personal thing!

If you are used to wearing heels, you should be ok. Do keep in mind though, if you hem your dress to the height of tall heels then change into flats at your reception, the entire bottom of your dress is going to be dragging while you’re dancing. This happened to my girlfriend and she was so angry all night because she kept stepping on/tripping over her dress at the reception.

I love pump heels but thought I should go with more open toes for wedding day as pumps tend to hurt after an hour or so. Will definitely try it on before spending the money.

Oh thanks for that! It didn’t even cross my mind but you are right. I’m very short 4’ 11” so I definitely am used to wearing heels and would love to wear them on my wedding day. Now it’s about finding something I want that is not too uncomfortable

I wore badgley mischkas and they were absolutely stunning but I had to take them off after the first dance and just went barefoot the rest of the night. They weren’t painful but there were just certain spots that dug into my foot a little. It’s a personal choice but I’m definitely a “beauty is pain” person and the beautiful heels were worth it to me Badgley Mischka Bridal Shoes 2

    Hi there!

LOVE Badgley Mischa shoes! My wedding shoe is a simple Badgley Mischa wedge. They were exactly what I was looking for. A wedge that is comfortable, simple yet elegant (let's face it whose really going to see your shoes anyway) I also feel Badgley Mischa shoes are true to size. However, I must warn if you have a wider foot that some ( I cannot speak for all ) Badgley Mischa shoes run narrow. I tried one on at the store similar to yours and the 8 fit perfectly but it felt a bit too narrow Smiley sad. I never bought Badgley Mischa shoes before so I wanted to see how they fit in store first before buying online. I usually hate buying shoes online but I went on a limb (bc the online sale price was amazing) and bought these wedges pictured below. To my surprise, they fit perfectly and are sooo comfortable! I was looking specifically for a wedge bc they are easy to walk in and are usually comfortable. plus I don't want to have to worry about taking them off during the night bc my feet are hurting

    Goodluck!

    Sam Smiley smile

I ended up wearing the Roxy Badgley Mischka’s and found them comfortable. I did change into customized converse for the latter part of the reception, but had my heels on from my first look up until then and didn’t have any issues. They went perfectly with my dress.

This is simple yet very pretty. Glad to hear that they are comfortable. I purchased mine online and now I’m excited to try it on when it gets here

Thank you! I can't wait to wear them again. I love the detail in the Libby. I was also considering the Tampa Satin Jewel but even in the ivory it had a slight gold tint to it. Another beautifully detailed shoe though.

I recently had a very disappointing shopping experience with Badgley Mischka.
