Bad Luck

When I started planning our wedding, I was beyond excited! I am someone who loves a plan and guidelines, I prepared my self that stuff would go wrong during all of this and it would be out of my control! I am still trying to stay positive.

I won’t go into a lot of detail just so I don’t bore anyone, but for starters my bridesmaids were given the wrong color dresses. I was not worried because we had plenty of time to correct this error. Unfortunately the company wouldn’t even speak with me about the mistake, after months of trying to get them to listen to us they finally said “oh this is our fault we ordered the wrong color.” At the same time of us thinking the bridesmaids dresses were now being handled , my wedding dress was ‘lost’. They had no idea where it was, if it had even shipped, or any small detail. Of course I was so upset, but I kept saying it’s all going to be okay!
So they find my dress finally and I happily took it and am getting alterations else where. As for the bridesmaids dresses we never received them and continued to be lied to about what was happening. Luckily we did get everyone’s money back, so that is GREAT news! We went to David’s Bridal after that, I explained the situation and they got us 6 new bridesmaids dresses in the correct color in less than week! Highly recommend them! After all of this, I still was trying to not be stressed. But then COVID-19 happened and we have had to postpone our wedding from April to the summer. We only moved the date in hopes our grandparents can come celebrate with us!
My point to all of this is planning is STRESSFUL! It’s okay to be upset during this time when stuff goes wrong. Regardless, non of this has ruined anything for me. I’m still planning a wedding and as happy as ever. I truly believe everything happens for a reason and everything will go as it should. Happy wedding planning, loves🤍
