Reading the thread about start times got me thinking about this. I've always heard that it's bad luck to start your wedding ceremony on the hour. Instead it should be started on the half hour. The explanation I always hear is because the minute hand on the clock will be traveling upward rather than down. Has anyone else heard of this? Maybe it's a regional or southern thing?
BTW, I'm in no way implying that you will actually have bad luck if your wedding starts on the hour. I think it's interesting to see varying wedding traditions.
