Bacne and scars/hyperpigmentation

Kaitlyn, on June 18, 2017 at 8:28 AM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 7

Any brides with bacne (back acne) or scarring from picking it over the years? I've got a lot of varying shades of scars on my upper back and my dress is fairly open.

Is there a product you've had success with to lighten or remove your marks? Or are you wearing your hair down to camouflage/hide it? I'm torn on how to wear my hair but feel like this will be the route I go

Talk to your make up artist. They have stuff that will cover it up. I know there are creams out there to lighten scars but not in the amount of time left before your wedding.

Talk to a cosmetic dermatologist. Not sure if there's anything that can be done so close to your wedding, but they may have suggestions for short term and long term scar mitigation.

Have you considered a spray tan? I'm doing a trial run for my bachelorette. Basically not going very much darker but enough that I'm not quite as fair and it evens me out a bit. I always notice little marks more in the winter when I'm pale than when I have a little color in the summer

    Do body makeup

use camouflage cream - Dermablend - to cover scars

I would not do any chemical peels or laser treatment if you are close to your wedding, because it is hard to predict how your skin would react.

I used mederma to help with acne scars on my face, and it worked wonders (I still see where the scars were/are, but no one else does).

I'd like to note though - only cover them if they make you uncomfortable - you're going to be beautiful and no one is going to see them

I am planning on discussing this with my makeup artist but am following. Also curious.

Thanks for the suggestions and the pep talk ladies! They do and don't bother me...day to day I don't notice much but sometimes I'm more conscious of it. I'd prefer to cover them somehow but also know my photographer can hide them in pics so overall I guess it won't matter too kuch
