I've been loosing sleep trying to find a venue that won't break the bank. Every venue I find that I love is ridiculously expensive and ones that are some what affordable I have no interest in. What are your opinions on a backyard wedding?

We were going to do a backyard wedding, we have a huge tent, and we could of gotten tables and chairs from my FMILs work we also have a friend who was going to DJ but after we discussed it we decided against it. We didn’t want a lot of people at our house, getting drunk going in and out of our house. We were worried about friends getting stupid drunk and puking places. Parking would of been difficult as well. And not to mention the clean up the next day. We are getting married at the fairgrounds under a pavilion that’s attached to a big pole barn for the reception! I think backyard weddings are beautiful, but like everyone else said compare prices and do your research! Best of luck and congratulations Smiley smile

We're doing a backyard reception. We're DIYing most of the stuff and the things I've had to buy have been inexpensive. We got lucky because a few of our friends have tents we can borrow. I'm well under half of my budget currently and there isn't much left that we need to buy/rent.
