Backyard rental?

Brandi, on November 25, 2018 at 4:34 PM Posted in Wedding Ceremony 2 8
Looking for a backyard to rent just for our wedding ceremony. Already have a place for reception. But our ceremony is going to be very small and intimate. Anyone ever rented a backyard before??? Please help!

Hi Brandi! Welcome to WeddingWire and congrats on your engagement!

Your outdoor wedding ceremony idea sounds lovely! Have you considered renting an Airbnb? Perhaps there are homes in your area that have a backyard style you like and could rent for the big day! This home could also potentially double as your place to get-ready with your bridal party as well as a place to stay your wedding night! Smiley heart

Otherwise, you could also look into renting a local patio, restaurant private dining area, public or state park, or nature preserve. Depending where you are located, these are all alternative outdoor ceremony options that might be worth looking into!

We are potentially getting an Airbnb type rental for our reception. I bet something similar can be done for a ceremony.

I agree with the previous posters unless there are some very well mansions or scenic gardens in your area I recommended getting an Airbnb.

I would check county & city regulations, a lot of them don't allow events in rental houses. You may be better off having it a friend or family members backyard if you can find one, or a public park. I assume you'll have to rent the whole house too for an evening.

There are a LOT of logistics and things to keep in mind with a backyard wedding. You'll have to find somewhere to rent for this - and be sure they 1) allow weddings and 2) have liability insurance. Don't hide what you're planning to use the property for either (for example, if you use airbnb.com or something similar). If you do find a place to rent, please feel free to read this post, which gives insight and experience from our backyard wedding. Also keep in mind backyard weddings are often not much (if any) less expensive than a wedding at a normal venue.

    Smiley heart

Before giving the backyard for the rent, make sure to make it fine and properly so that it will look good and people like it. There are different companies who provide the service of repair and maintenance of the pavements. The paving contractors Nassau County in Nassau County has professionals who have experience in this field. It provides the efficient service of maintenance at the affordable prices.

I would love an updated response to this! I am looking for 2022 but now most big airbnb's say no parties. Has anyone had luck with this yet?
