Backyard cookout for couples shower?

So my mom brought up the idea of having a couples shower, I had said previously that I really didn't want a bridal shower as I have pretty bad anxiety and am not good at being the center of attention. So couples shower, that's all fine and dandy, but she would like to do a backyard/grilling/cookout thing. Is this tacky? Obviously for my wedding I would not do a cookout, but for a shower I wasn't sure.

So long as it's properly hosted by someone else willing to do so, you can accept. If you really don't want one, of course you can decline as well.

And by properly, I just mean food, comfort and drinks. Does not have to be fancy or anything.

As long as it's well hosted- all the food, drinks, etc. are provided, I think it would b great!

I would think it's ok .. I had a baby q baby shower ... we had 70 guests and it was amazing ...

I don't think it would be a bad idea. I personally love BBQs! I think it'll be just fine
