Backless & Strapless for the well endowed

Ashley, on May 29, 2017 at 11:30 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 19

Hey ladies! For my wedding gown, I need a backless strapless bra. I'm a 34DDD. I was told alterations would alleviate the need to wear a bra, but the lace back of the dress gives too much. I have tried almost every sticky bra under the sun. Anyone have any experience with a product that actually works? Nordstrom, Macy's, and Dillard's all told me to tape the ladies...

As a fellow 34DDD, or as I call it the unicorn of bras, I hope someone has a good answer. I feel like I end up with saggy boobs that have something stuck to them. When I was younger I used to tape over a Victoria secret backless strapless bra when I danced/performed professionally, but I would end up with a uniboob or you could see tape edges. The older ones used to have clear sticky pads on the side that stuck to your ribs, but all the newer things I've found are only sticky cups. I'm not worried about my nipples, I want some support!

Have you considered having cups sewn into your dress? I am short & have big boobs & that was my smartest decision. No worries of having a bra slipping or sliding & I don't have to go shopping for anything! It was a win win for me.

    ETA: spelling.

Oh girl I'm with you there, in a 34DDD as well and I've never found a sticky cup that holds. I'd recommend boob tape, as Kim K as it sounds it does work. Not comfortable though

I got my size 38DDD corset from davids bridal. As I needed strapless, and nothing works. The corset is simple, comfy, and the push up is wonderful

I decided to buy a different dress for this reason. I want to be comfortable and supported and those backless, sticky cups do absolutely nothing for me (also 34DDD). Maybe having cups sewn in will help you IDK. Good Luck.

Tape them. I'm a 34DD and it was the only thing I could get to work. All my bridesmaids ended up taping too once they saw how well it worked. (and one of them is a 34G!)

Amazon sells nude tape that I've used a couple times now. Stays on forever - I wore it for my bachelorette party and it stayed on until the next day.

I'm curious about this taping method. I'm a 34H and am having cups sewn in but I fear the shear weight of my breasts will cause them to sag regardless. May have to do some taping experiments in the future.

Perky Pear tape - I was a 34 DDD/F before my reduction and now I wear a full 34 D, so I've been through the bra search many a time. Never thought that tape would work for me but these are amazing! Super soft cotton and amazing staying power - plus they go to size G in a full coverage and bandeau for strapless. I highly recommend checking out their site!

Check out Blythe Lingerie store in the Richmond/Short Pump area. They tend to cater to the well endowed

I'm a 34DD and I'm having cups sewn into my dress ($30 cost) and I'll probably look into this Perky Pear stuff just in case!

So I am a 34G and just looked at the perky pear tape site and got so excited! I didn't get a backless dress because I didn't know what to do with my girls. I may have to try this out

Look up perky pear. Not sure what the front of your dress looks like. But Kim kardashian (lol) swears by this method
