Back up plan ideas....

Hey Brides!
So I ordered my floral from FiftyFlowers.com and they have lots of great reviews with pictures, but there’s still that risk that I’m taking ordering wholesale floral online. In case the worst happens, like my flowers don’t arrive in time, or they arrived damaged or what not, I’m trying to think of some quick and easy back up plans or ideas that I could use for centerpieces and cocktail table decor. My venue is outside and already has plenty of its own floral so it definitely won’t ruin the day if it fails but I still want to have some sort of put back up plan. As far as my bouquet and the bridesmaids go, I have no problems running out to whole foods and buy whatever floral they have. I feel like most guests won’t even care about the bridesmaids/my bouquets so this is mostly just for table decor. I’m already having candles on the tables, but still trying to think of some quick DIY ideas for that ‘just in case’ last-minute scenario. I’ve been looking at some things like lemons and I think they’re all great. Just seeing what you lovely brides can come up with because you all have awesome ideas all the time.

Are you opposed to using grocery store flowers for centerpieces? I assume you already have the vases since your doing them yourself with fifty flowers. If they don’t arrive on time or are damaged, you’ll have about the same amount of time to put something together as you would have had, you’ll just need to buy new flowers (which I completely understand adds up).
What about doing rocks or glass beads in the vases/containers? You can get bags at the dollar store or craft stores.
Our event coordinator is going to decorate for us with fresh cut greenery, if you have or know anyone who has plants they would let you take clippings from that could be an option.

Yeah, if it all fails I’m definitely going to have to run to the grocery store for the bouquets, but sometimes at the grocery store they only have a few things and so I’m worried that if I rely on the grocery store for everything they may not have much left.....I like the idea of using rocks. It will be by the water outside so rocks would make sense.

I would check Costco or Sams for flowers too if the worst happens. I’ve heard lots of good things about fifty flowers though so hopefully you won’t even have to worry about it!

Yeah I hope so. I actually don’t even have a Costco’s in my state and the closest Sam’s is like a 35 minute drive LOL but I’ll be definitely checking out the grocery stores and like you said I may end up putting together some sort of quick rocks in jars type of deal with some jute string or something. Thanks for your help!

If you are not opposed to faux floral, then craft stores have a ton!
