Let me try this again and hopefully my tablet doesn't blank out on me again.

As I was saying the venue me and my FW were about to book backed out on us because as the very rude lady said she refuses to do business with a" non traditional union. It wasn't that she said it it was how she said it that upset me to tears. needless to say now we are back at square one and at this point I'm feeling discouraged and I want to give up but my made of honor has been pushing me along. So my question to anyone here is... Do any of you have any suggestions for me, I really need a full team of good women that can be open minded and that are willing to keep me encouraged. But if you can't please don't comment I've had enough negativity to last me a long while. Sorry if that sounds mean I'm not a mean but I can't take anymore.

The good news is, you're out of giving your money to a close minded bigot and you still have plenty of time to find a new venue. More details on your location, guest count, and budget may help find more suggestions. Also keep in mind that venues and vendors are required to be LGBTQ friendly in order to be listed on WeddingWire.

I'm sorry to hear that but you'll definitely find somewhere better ! It's a shame it's 2020 and this is still an issue. Keep looking and don't be discouraged! Unfortunately it seems as you call venues and vendors you'll have to specify and ask if 'non traditional' is acceptable before you waste too much time.

The thing is I told her and her husband that we are not a traditional couple and then we went to tour the venue and we fell in love with it . So they both knew, but the way she yelled it into the phone and the hatred and disgust in her voice shook me. But you are so right about a better venue will come our way. Thank you for your kind words ❤️

Don’t under estimate that your budget may be too small. Ours is very small and we have managed to have everything we want with a destination wedding.

I am so sorry. It is upsetting that in 2020 people are still closed minded. Love it love. As Caytlyn said even though you loved the venue good thing you did not support the business of someone that has that kind of ignorance or hatred. I know there are other venues out there for you and you will find a better one...I know it!

My location is Toledo Ohio and our budget is $3500 a very small budget. Thank you for any help or suggestions you can give I really appreciate it.

Unfortunately I know nothing about Ohio. How many people are you wanting to invite to your wedding? If you are planning a small, intimate ceremony you could slope with just a couple of close family or friends on that budget.
