Back on Invitation?

Chasity, on February 11, 2020 at 2:34 PM Posted in Etiquette and Advice 0 21

Hello WW brides!

We are ordering out invites this week for our wedding memorial day weekend! I was curious if any other brides put information on the back of their invitation? Right now we have nothing on the back and it looks kinda plain and I am just not sure if we should add something to it. Thoughts, opinions and suggestions appreciated.

I personally think putting information on the back can be risky because not everyone turns their invitation over so people might miss something!

I did aha just to save paper. So traditionally because I only sent paper invites out to older folk, I put a map in the back. A lot of invites in my culture feature a map of the venues for ceremony and reception aren't together or even just to have more info for those that may not be good with phones.

I repeated the wedding website address on the back, in the middle, in bigger font. People do flip over invites.

We didn't, but we have seen people do it. I always flip the invite over to check.

I put details like room block information, address of ceremony and reception, and wedding website. I did put “details on back” at the bottom of the invite. Because yes a lot of people won’t naturally turn it over. I did this to save money by eliminating a details card.

That is a great idea. Our ceremony and reception are in the same venue but we have a lot of friends and family traveling some out of states so I really like the idea of maybe having a map from the airport to the venue. Thanks for your input! Smiley smile

We have detail cards but this is something to consider. As we are preparing to order, the detail cards are kinda expensive. We could definitely save money by having the details on the back instead. Thanks Smiley smile

We did! Put a little story on the back and also added some wedding details. We don't have a website so this seemed like a logical solution!

We just put that the reception will follow and if they have any questions to look at our website with website URL

if anyone doesn’t read it, it’s no big deal🤷🏻‍♀️

We didn’t put any information. Ours just had our monogram on the back.

We ordered our invitations from Vistaprint and we had full color front and back. So on the back, we simply had our initials in white cursive text "A&S". It was nice and simple. We did put our wedding website URL and password on the front of the invitation. Everything else such as location, extra questions etc was put on the website itself!

I'm always concerned people don't look on the back, so our invitation suite is just a dark green back with our initials. Still decorated in case they look, but no information that they'll miss if they don't.

We put the hotel reservation information in the back as well as the reception time. Just to have something there. Our invitation is a tri fold card, so it looked plain. Shout out to a fellow Memorial Day bride!
