If you're a drinker, go to a restaurant and bar. If you're not, go to a spa, try a cooking class, try a burlesque class together, do yoga, make something together (painting, pottery, etc).

My sister in law loves in Pgh (I used to) and she and her girls went to a play followed by the casino.

The Andy Warhol museum is always fun. "Good Fridays" (every Friday) they serve wine and who doesn't love the photo booth?!

I went to one over the summer! We went to a nice dinner at Sienna oh the Square, and then Howl at the Moon all night! Pretty low key, but super fun.

I second bowl at the moon! It's a great atmosphere but get there early or call to reserve a table bc they fill up quickly. It's love music and you can request songs! Also south side if you just want to travel to random bars.

We actually were able to get wristbands ahead of time! (I don't think we really ended up needing them).

BUT it allowed us to skip any line, included cover and one drink.
