Bachelorette Party in covid times

Victoria, on January 11, 2021 at 10:56 AM Posted in Parties and Events 1 10
Hey y’all!

Just curious for those who have already navigated through this during this weird time-how did your Bachelorette parties go? I’m planning on having mine Memorial Day weekend in Austin, TX (after postponing everything last year) and am trying to come up with a safe back up plan in case COVID restrictions don’t ease up very much by then. Did you have any bridesmaids that felt uncomfortable about traveling? Anyone get tested before hand? Would you have rather cancelled instead of going through with things or was it still worth it? I have so many questions! Any advice or ideas is greatly appreciated Smiley smile

My MOH is planning my bachelorette party. The main option is a haunted bar crawl type deal which will depend on COVID. If it's still really bad at that point she's going to plan a small pure romance party instead with the bridal party and probably close friends.

We’re not planning parties/committing to plans until we see how the spring goes. Our wedding is September 25th so we have time. Worst case, we’ll have parties after the wedding when things let up. In our cases, people would have to come from multiple cities and people aren’t ok with the potential exposure.

We did a co-ed Bachelor/Bachelorette trip, and we rented a cabin in the mountains, and just had a chill weekend playing games, and relaxing. It was only about a three hour drive for everyone.

We did something like this too! We did a coed trip, about 12 people, rented a house in the mountains. FI and I and one other person had to fly, everyone else was within 3-5 hours.

We didn't go out to eat, but we did do several outdoor activities, went to a winery etc. Everyone had a fantastic time!!

I like that idea!! So I live in ATX and it would only be a few of my bridesmaids that would actually have to fly down here due to distance. Hearing these ideas makes me hopeful that things can still be fun even if there are some modifications Smiley smile

We did a winery girls day with a slumber party, old school style, at my house. It was my Bridesmaids and my Man of Honor. We kept the list shorter than we had originally planned and we had a great time! It wasn't a big exotic breaking the bank style trip but it was so fun and no stress on anyone, which I think is a nice change of pace and I hope becomes the norm again. Honestly, the 1k per person trips were getting out of hand.

My MOH is currently planning a combo in-person/virtual bachelorette for me. I'm not sure yet where we're going but a small group (less than 10) will stay at a Airbnb and we'll do activities during the day with a nighttime virtual option for those who live too far away or aren't comfortable being around others. The people who will physically be there are people that are in my "bubble" so I already see them in person fairly frequently!
