Bachelorette Party Sleepover (01/29/2021) Photos & Price Breakdown

RaylaSan, on January 31, 2021 at 11:19 PM Posted in Parties and Events 0 17

I've been dealing with a lot of crap recently, and had to come to terms with the harsh reality that basically none of my own family are going to be at my wedding. I think in total, I'm only going to be having 9 of my own family members attend. My own parents aren't even going to be in attendance, and it sucks. COVID SUCKS, people that don't freaking RSVP suck, and my parents that won't go to my wedding because COVID, but will happily move to a different country during the middle of COVID suck the most! Ahaha, my family may be crap, but my bridal party sure isn't!

One of my bridesmaid's threw me an awesome bachelorette party sleepover. I'm so grateful to have such amazing friends to be part of my bridal party, even though one of my girls couldn't make it, I still had an amazing time. I wouldn't change it for the world.

The original plan if COVID didn't exist would have been to go out bar crawling and everything, but since COVID sucks, I told my bridesmaids that I would happily settle for a small sleepover at my apartment. But man, she went above and beyond to make it memorable. My bridesmaid and basically honorary MOH who was planning the whole thing busted her butt in making this the most memorable sleepover for me. She spent so much money and planned everything from scratch. She made two different goodie bags, a hangover goodie bag and a naughty goodie bag. She even bought all the alcohol, the food, and the games! The only thing I had to do really was attend and look nice, but I also decided to rent a nice looking picnic setup from one of my vendors to make things look real fancy. In total, I think this sleepover ended up costing upwards of $900!!! Of course, the other bridesmaids helped as well with paying for some stuff, but in the end my honorary MOH ended up planning and paying for everything from scratch. @0@

Basic Price Breakdown:

Alcohol - $150
Food - $80
Games - $100
Goodie Bags - $300
Picnic Setup - $300

Best Moments: My drunk friend telling her boyfriend that was picking her up, saying, "Wait before you pick me up I wanna play pin the hose on the fireman!"

I'm so sorry about your family, but you have yourself a wonderful group of friends! This looks so fun. I think I'd even prefer this over bar hopping myself! Smiley laugh

Wow! Your friends knocked it out of the park!! I'm finding that the people who care about us COVID brides are going above and beyond to make sure we have some awesome pre-wedding events and experiences despite the current circumstances.

You're right about that, I have never felt so much love in the air for me. My parents always used to tell me that you could never depend on your friends when you need them, and that the only people you can depend on are your family. However, my parents and my other family members, never failed to disappoint me.

I'm in the same situation because my family all live out of state so I've had to accept that most of my family besdies my parents and sisters won't be there. It hurt a lot at first but we are livestreaming the wedding so they can still watch. Not what I had planned but I can't wait to get married.

Honestly, a part of me wants to live stream, but a part of me just doesn't want to even bother, especially when it comes to my parent's empty promises and my family's inability to just RSVP "no" forcing me to contact them, and having them tell me no to my face. It doesn't matter anyway, we have a videographer, so they can watch the videos.

It's petty but I iust don't want to deal with my family right now, I know we should forgive and forget, but I just can't justify giving my parents the benefit.
