Bachelorette Party Ideas?

Laura, on October 13, 2021 at 10:26 AM Posted in Parties and Events 1 11

I am the Matron of Honor for my sister whose wedding is May of next year. I am planning everything early to avoid any issues with the Co-Vid 19 restrictions. The Bridal Party consists of several women with children and one woman who is disabled and has a little trouble walking. I need to find a bachelorette party venue that is affordable, doesn't involve too much drinking, is local to Long Island and doesn't require a vaccination pass as the mothers can't attend overnight events or travel to far and a few of the bridesmaids are not vaccinated. My sister is hoping for a day spa type event but I haven't been able to find anything within the bridesmaid's price ranges ($150 tops). I know this is a tough one but if anyone has any ideas, it would be really helpful. TIA!

If you or someone else is willing to host it at your house you could set up and at home spa! Not quite as pampering since it would be DIY but you could buy little pedicure baths on amazon, nail kits from target, and do face masks and just drink wine at home. This would eliminate most obstacles as no vaccination is required, it's cheaper, and there's no walking. It is more lowkey but some brides prefer that! I know I definitely would.

That's a really good idea, I'm going to see what they think about that. Thank you Smiley smile

Love sarah's idea! that's kind of what we did for the bride last year when i was MOH. we hosted it at someone's house where we did a painting session and games, etc.

it can be really inexpensive to do at home spa stuff too! get some korean sheet face masks for cheap, some nail polish, etc and that can be an at home spa thing already!

Sincere there's no way to know what the COVID-related restrictions will be next year, I would only plan things that don't require advance payment. And have some backup plans just in case.

Doing something outside would be nice as some are not vaccinated and it sounds like one is high risk.

How about a LI beach outing? You can probably hire masseurs to come to you without the full table setup.

I second the at home spa. For one friend’s bachelorette we had a therapist come to her apartment and do massages and treatments on people and the rest of us just did each other’s nails, chatted and had some Prosecco when we weren’t having treatments. It was so nice because it was super chilled out, people could just be in comfies and relax. It was so nice.

You could rent a nice AirB&B and have spa technicians come to you through Zeel or Mobility Salon? You could work with the host to have access to the space early in the day, and then no one would have to stay over that didn’t want to. Order in some takeout and end the night with snacks, champs and some girly movies.

I would have loved to have done that, it was my first choice... I was looking into maybe a 2 hour evening cruise but the disabled bridesmaid has difficulty walking...so any outdoorsy type activities would be really hard for her and the wedding is May, so an outdoor event, even if we weren't walking around might have been a little cold.

I had someone come to my house and we had a little mini spa like day. It was great and I really enjoyed it as I am not in to drinking and didn't want a party at a nightclub or anything. It was great for everyone else as well Smiley smile.
