Bachelorette help!

Cynthia, on March 28, 2021 at 6:02 PM Posted in Parties and Events 0 4
Hi all, I am getting married 9/25/2021. For my bachelorette, my sister (MOH) and Bestie (bridesmaid) talked about a weekend getaway with a few friends to Michigan for hiking and wine tasting. I have been looking for Airbnb that could accommodate 7 people with enough space, in a nice area near wineries. I have been searching the website, basically going in circles. I have found a few but nothing has stood out. I would love ideas of other things to do in Chicago or for a day trip to a neighboring state, or places to search for lodging. I literally feel so frustrated with the process that I feel like not doing anything. I will note that vacation rentals are week reservations only. And that my sister and friend aren’t here really helping. They have done minimal searches.

Your bridal party aren't obligated to help plan your bachelorette unless they want to.

Notwithstanding that, maybe consider a few alternate accommodation options?

I should have Clarified that they have offered to help. And yes I am considering additional accommodation options but I am having trouble with that as well. As I mentioned, vacation rentals are only available for 7-day rentals not weekend rentals in the summer.

Oof yeah, unfortunately that can be tricky when planning for a weekend in peak tourism time. I’d consider expanding your search to further from the center of the tourist areas and plan one full day out at brunch/wineries/etc. You can hire a car service to transport you girls around that day, and then otherwise, plan activities exclusively at the house.

No advice but girl I feel your pain 😂 I planned our wedding (fiancé was great when I needed him, but I did the majority because I genuinely enjoyed wedding planning) and now that I’m thinking of my bachelorette party. And I’m SO stuck. I’m just like... I’m tired of planning and this is proving to be way too stressful, do I have to do anything?! Who knew this would be more difficult than the wedding haha
