Babys breath centerpiece

Liliana, on February 27, 2017 at 8:30 PM Posted in Do It Yourself 0 10

So I wanted to do a babys breath submerged underwater in vases. Has anyone used babys breath from the dollar store? Pictures if you have any.

I have not, but baby's breath is fairly cheap and (I think) fairly hearty. So maybe do some trials with real and see how they hold up?

I don't think you should get them from the dollar store (they look pretty awful) the real ones are gorgeous and they are super cheap. If you're going to do this I think the real ones would be the best way to go!

This was my original plan for a centerpiece, I think it's so pretty! I would def use real baby's breath.

Dollar store flowers always look terrible and extremely fake. Babys breath is inexpensive so I would go for the real thing.

The real deal is cheap, you can get a shit ton at Costco or sams for a great price.

I wouldn't recommend using the dollar store flowers. When items are placed in the water they become magnified and it'll show the imperfections even more.

Baby's breath is one of the cheapest flowers. It is a filler flower. There is no need to buy fake baby's breath. Just buy the real thing.

So we were going to do this same thing - made a mock one and I gotta be honest, it turned out real bad. Babys breath tends to clump together so you have to do fake if your doing this. Fake is actually more expensive then the real stuff. We decided to switch and do a white flowers instead.

We had our florist do a mock up, cause I didn't believe him about the clumping, and my mind changed real quick! now he is doing something like the attached picture - I'm obsessed with it now! Only difference is we are putting them on a mirror and having river rocks in the bottom instead of the clear stones

Real babys breath is pretty cheap too. I would do real. You can definitely tell when flowers are from the dollar store
