Just Said Yes April 2021

Azazie Pamela

I have a dress I want for my bridesmaids. Azazie Pamela. My girls are all different sizes so I was hoping this would be flattering, but half my girls love it and half don’t. Anyone have any opinions? I just love the dress so I’m looking for outside eyes to give me feedback. Thank you!

I think it’s a pretty dress, but I’m also not the one that has to wear it. You should want your bridesmaids in something that makes them feel comfortable.

The dress is pretty, but I agree you want your bridesmaids to be comfortable in what they are wearing

I should add they don’t like it because it has sleeves. We are having an early April wedding outside.

I let all my bridesmaids pick out whatever dress they wanted from azazie and it worked perfectly because they all chose different dresses but each one has a similar detail to another one (sweetheart neckline, lace detail, sheer back) and everyone is comfortable and happy with their choices. Maybe ask each one to send you a pic of their two favorites and see if you can find common ground?

I personally don't like it, but if that's what the bride likes and wanted me to wear I would because the wedding isn't about me. I was in an early April wedding in Pennsylvania and the weather can vary so much, but since the wedding was indoors it didn't matter as much. We did take photos outdoors though. Guests also had the option to go outside on the back deck of the reception location. The dress we wore for that wedding was a long one shoulder dress with a slit up the on side.

I like the dress! However I am also the kind of bride that let them choose their own dresses just out of their comfort

I had mine just choose their own from Azazie as long as it was Mulberry. They chose some with the same elements and I think they’ll all look gorgeous. I can see why they might not like the extra material on their arms and around their chest because it might be hot or unflattering

I feel like that dress would look great on some people but not so flattering on others. If I were in your situation, I would maybe see if there are other styles that everyone would feel comfortable in.

I let my girls pick out the dress, I can’t see the one you chose for some reason there is no pic

I like it. I will say that it's completely up to you on what you want your girls to wear. If you want to allow them to choose a dress, that's up to you. You don't have to listen to anyone say that you need to. All the times I've been a bridesmaid I was told what to order and I didn't complain. Now had the dress been strapless or really short or revealing I probably would've said something, but my brides were close enough to me that we had similar values and ideas of modesty. April is kinda early to go with no sleeves. I mean I wore tank tops for running in April, but I rarely wore sleeves for just being around town.

I would recommend choosing a color and material from Azazie and let your girls pick their own styles. I can see this dress being very flattering on some body types but hideous on others. The low back also poses a problem for those of us who are well endowed and will need to wear a traditional bra (this might not be an issue for your bridesmaids). I personally do not care for this dress, but if I were your bridesmaid, I would still wear it to please the bride, as long as you'd be okay with my bra straps showing in the back.
