Azazie for Tall Women

Maleficent, on August 16, 2017 at 12:20 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 13

I'm currently looking into bridesmaid dresses for my girls and had initially planned on using Azazie for long dresses. I noticed that the max "hollow to floor" length is 61" and that is found in the larger sizes. I have two particularly tall members of my bridal party, both are a little over 6'1" and probably wear the smallest dress size of the bunch. I plan to measure them ASAP but do anyone know if the gowns would be long enough?

I'm torn because I also have a 4'11" bridal party member. Who will probably need to shorten the dress a lot if the same size will work for the much taller members of the group.

I've always envisioned long dresses but now I'm starting to wonder if short is the way to go. Has anyone had any experiences with putting in requests to azazie?

Azazie does custom measurements for no additional charge.

@kate I think I am just going to have to measure and see. I was trying to picture the length of a neck and head and I think mine is about 12 inches (but honestly I have no clue).

@lindsey that makes me happy to hear that there isn't an extra charge. I'm trying to keep this relatively low cost which is why I'm worried about alterations to begin with.

Here is a link to a website that I used. You enter their height and it tells you what length the dress should be. I am 5'10' and it says my length is 58 with flat shoes.

@sdot so helpful. It says 61" with flats so that makes me relax a lot.

I'll be contacting everyone and telling them to get measured for sure.

I believe in the custom orders there is an 'additional length' option as well where they can add a few inches if necessary. One of my BMs did (she is 5'10") and it is way too long on her, so I think they would be okay!

My MOH is 5ft 11in and she was worried about her Azazie dress length too- she ended up being the only BM in heels because it was so long!

Azazie custom measurements are amazing. None of my girls need alterations.

This all makes me happy as I plan to use Azazie....and had probably single handedly funded their business this past month with the number of swatches I ordered haha

In ordered my bridesmaids dresses from there I think the only way to go with Azazie is to advise all you BM to get measured. They all fit my girls differently. But to your point I have a very tall BM and the dress is a little too short for her. I advised her to wear flats . But she did not get measured so. You should be fine with the exact measurements.

We did Azazie custom measurements, and they fit everyone from my 5'2" sister to my 8-months pregnant sister to my 5'10" bridesmaid. Absolutely perfect.

And yes, if you do custom measurements you can add extra length!
