Awkward aisle

Awkward aisle 1
Hey everyone!
For some reason these polls that are in the aisle really bother me anybody have any good suggestions on how to try and make them not as noticeable!
Some people have suggested having the aisle more on the left-hand side, instead of centered with the doors, would that be awkward?

Hmm, it seems like either way you’d still have the poles in the way. Is there a way to put chairs between the poles that way it’s not blocking anyones view?

That’s not a bad idea! Would it be weird to have the aisle going diagonal like I walk to the first pole and then diagonally to the right?

Will you have a runner or just the carpet? If you won’t have a runner it might not look weird. But, it might be hard to have a runner slanted you kno? without it messing up. I’d say ask the coordinator how they’ve done it in the past and see if there’s a way to work out your vision to see if it works.

Can you put up two partitions near those entrance doors so they blocks out the posts on one side but are only decorative on the other?

Or can you have the ceremony against the left side with an entrance through the doors down the right side and then head to the ceremony altar?

Anyhow, the partitions seem to be key in making this work. Maybe they are 6 foot wide and leaving a 6 foot space between them. These could be solid or could be drapes hanging on a metal frame. Or there could be 4 potted trees/junipers with banners going between them. (or just balance each side with 4 of the 5 foot high junipers so one side hides the posts and then see if anyone wants them afterwards)

Also, if you off-center these several feet toward the left side, that may help while retaining a natural or functional look to them.

Can you have your ceremony on the left wall and have the polls in the “back” of the ceremony?

If the ceremony is on the left wall, the posts could just be decorated with a silver or gold paper or with a garland.

You could do as first suggested. Just have the chairs between poles and the left wall. It could help to figure out some purpose for the area between the poles and the windows though. Maybe that could be guest sign in.

When people are gathered in the room, the focus will not be on the poles. It still might help to decorate them ... maybe a string lights from one pole to the other and wrap some color around them. Sorta like Rabbit decorating winnie the pooh when he was stuck in the entrance to Rabbit's place.

I would embrace them as an opportunity to include some vertical decor. If you lined the rows of chairs up with them they would blend in a bit better and could be really beautiful with some garlands (real or fake) up them

I'm curious about the rest of the details. the large windowed wall seems to give sunlight and a glimpse to the landscaping but does that work also as a good background for the event?
