Average Number of Pictures

I don’t know that there’s an average as every photographer/package varies, but we got roughly 1,000 pictures back. We had two shooters for 9 hours in 2 locations (home and the venue). We took pictures with all of our immediate family, some of our extended family, wedding party, plus just us. We did a first look, but also did a few after ceremony photos too. We had pictures taken of the guests at each of the tables too, plus took some pictures as we did table visits with some friends we hadn’t gotten pictures with before the ceremony.

Not married yet but our photographer already told us to expect about 100 photos per hour, so we should get 900 back (we hired her for 9 hours)!

Daughter's contract for a full-day (from end of getting ready to exit) specifies at least 800-1000 pictures, with full digital access/rights.

We had two shooters for 8 hours at one location, and got back about 950 photos. I've seen someone on here post that they got 2,000+ though!

When originally talking with our photographer she mentioned it is about 75 to 100 pictures an hour. Assuming that is only for one photographer as well.

Our contract specifies. We will get a minimum of 800 pictures for 8 hours. For our engagement shoot, we will get 100 pictures.

I had my photographer for 7 hours and got back close to 800 pics. I only had one shooter.

Thanks for the feeeback ladies! We had our photographer and assistant for 8hrs and received only 650 pictures back. I thought it was a little low. I talked to my photographer and he said they typically take about 1,100 but only send 400-600 to each couple. He said if you go more than that you end up with a lot of duplicates or not great pictures. I asked if there were more he could send us and he said he uploaded all of the good ones. I love every one that we’ve received, I was just hoping for more.

I got 158 pictures in 2 hours. We had travel time to 2 locations after the ceremony to take pictures. Ceremony and some after photos only, no reception.
