Hey everyone! I saw this article on FB about the average cost of a wedding by state. Not really sure how this data was collected, but it was interesting. Are you above or below the average? I’m definitely above (Louisiana)... check it out!...

    Yeah, I'm definitely over (NY). I knew that NJ and NY would be comparable, but I thought NY would've been more. Now I'm glad I live in NY lol

    We considered a venue in donelson/my juliet to save money. But what we would have saved in hosting it further outside of the city, we would have passed down to all of our out of town guests in lyfts/ubers/transportation. 65% of our guests are flying into town from out of state. It just made sense to keep it in downtown. The price tag is not ideal but the location is convenient.

    When daughter and SIL first started planning their wedding, we found an average cost calculator that said for our area (So Cal) the average was $30,000. We laughed! Eighteen months later just after the wedding, with all the expenses accounted for, the total was about $31,000! Joke's on us! (Not including things the B&G paid for -- rings, mini-moon, attendant gifts, groom's suit, etc.) Unfortunately, we were incredibly average.... Smiley winking

    making me think of cut backs but I cant I love it too much lol
