Do you think its possible to get everything planned and have the perfect day if you only give yourself 8 months to plan?

We basically planned in 10 months. We got engaged in May last year, started really getting into planning in late July/August and married this May.
It's not impossible you just stay on top of things and know the lead times for things (ie dress could take 6 months to come in + alterations time) and vendors might be booked on short notice.

Absolutely. I planned our entire DW in 10 weeks. As long as you have your venue you should be ok.

Yep! We got engaged July 4 2019 and our wedding is may 9 2020. Booked the venue in September, paid off photographer in full in november, etc. As long as you are dedicated and organized, it can be done!

Definitely doable! I’ve got everything planned for our wedding in August 2020 all under 6 months, all we have left is groom/groomsmen attire.

Engaged 12/31/18 (at just shy of midnight).

    Married 8/24/19.

DH got mono in January. I got the flu in April. Had to change ceremony plans in May.

    TOTALLY POSSIBLE.

    Go ahead and do it!

Date twins! It’s possible but get a venue ASAP. 2020 is booking up fast. I booked ours for 8/22/2020 a year in advance and almost missed it by about 30 seconds. There was another couple there to book the same day, luckily I walked in first.

It is definitely doable, but you need to start planning ASAP. You might not be able to get your number one vendors, but the sooner you start planning the better. I would create a budget, guest list and then look for a venue. Once you have the venue then you can start hiring other vendors. I had most of my stuff selected within a month of being engaged. I would also go look for a wedding dress as soon as possible as it is often recommended that you order a dress at least 9 months prior to the wedding. I would look at David's Bridal. You can look online for styles that you like and they will give you can estimated delivery date if you order online. What I would do is select styles you like go in the store try them on and then order the dress online. You also need to have alterations so you want to give yourself time for those. Azazie also sells wedding dresses and you can try them on before you buy them. Azazie is only online, but if the try on before you buy option you will know what to order. Azazie is also a great place to get bridesmaids dresses. I didn't order from them because I hadn't heard from them until after my bridesmaids dresses were ordered, but they have amazing reviews and a lot of people recommend them on here.

August/Sept/Oct may be hard as it is peak wedding season! We did slightly offseason in December and planned in around 9 months!

Yes! We got engaged August 2019 and are getting married in April 2020! So 8 month engagement for us. Honestly I did most of the big stuff in the first 2 months. Right now we are 3 months out and don't have much left besides paying off catering, photographer, and sending invites
