Ladies:
I can’t seem to let go of the idea of a dark teal or deep Aegean blue for my one bridesmaid and a navy suit for my groom/ the problem is finding the teal. I’ve seen dozens of gorgeous wedding combo photos online but can’t find those exact dark teal dresses. Everything is too turquoise . I found ink blue but even the swatch to me is just blue not blue green. Peacock is too green. Also not sure if that color is too much contrast to my dress. It’s ivory lace and sandy undertone. I keep hearing fall colors are more reds and jewel tones but I just love blue. However I don’t want it to look poorly and not put together. After all, there will be a large attendance. Does that color palate sound workable? I would have lovely flowers burgandy, mauves, creams etc. even blues.
Also, did anyone consider the venue color in deciding on color for dresses? Our venue is very brown stone with lots of greenery. Would the teal clash? I did not consider this until i read that it should be considered. Thanks!

Yes, it is hard trying to find the right teal. They have so many "teals" it's hard to get the right one, teal that looks turquoise, teal blue, teal green, dark teal blue, deep teal green Smiley amazing . We are doing a teal that is more on the deepish blue side. I don't see your colors clashing and ivory and any form of blue works well, just about any color works with ivory.

Have you tried ordering color swatches from places like Azazie and BirdyGray?

Thanks! Yes so hard to find the perfect dark teal. I def don’t want turquoise. I think because my dress is two toned with sandy undertone with the ivory on top Im not sure if my bridesmaid dress needs to have much contrast. I’ll keep searching for my teal. I’m requesting swabs but some of these places are 12 weeks out for dresses and the wedding is in early OCt. Scared to wait on swatches for too long.

Check Lulus.com (not a bridal specific store) because tu eu have some beautiful gowns/dresses that aren’t specifically bridesmaid dresses, might have more color options for you. My bridesmaids all got their dresses from there.

I completely understand your feelings. I was dead set on finding the dark teal/blue dress I saw on a wedding show. I went to like 8 stores and finally took a gamble on a swatch, my bridesmaid dresses haven’t arrived yet but I’m hopeful they look as I hope. Lol

I honestly didn’t pick my venue to match with their outfits. Our ceremony will be outside so they will look great out there and I’m confident they will look great inside as well. Attire 1

Thanks Kate! Right, these online teal wedding photos are gorgeous with amazing dark teal dresses, navy suits and gorgeous flowers of all colors. I hope you love it too! I just ordered more swatches but the wedding is soon so need to pick! My mom keeps saying, it’s not fall colors but I disagree and think it can be whatever you want. Heck, add in some rusty orange flower or decor,

When I did find the right teal it was often overseas sites and that takes too long to order. The other issue is my one and only bridesmaid is being extremely picky and conservative about what style dress she will wear And, for some unknown reason the truest dark teal seems to be more revealing or slinky dresses, not sure why. I am opening myself to slate blue but don’t love it with my ivory and sandy two tone dress. Just doesn’t contrast enough. I’m also opening up to the idea of plum or navy if I need to. Good luck with your teal!
